Today is the final of the World Cup 2010. I am really excited. I wanted to create a dish that shows the World Cup fever. I have named this dish "Raging Bull" and tried to use plenty of redness and spiciness to portray the fighting spirit of the Spanish team.
Whoever wins, it's going to be a great game to watch.
Whoever wins, it's going to be a great game to watch.
Ingredients:
- 400g Beef Topside
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1/2 red capsicum, chopped
- 7-8 cherry tomatoes, cut in half
- 2 tablespoon sesame seeds, finely powdered (Use grinder to make sesame powder)
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 2 tablespoon of olive oil
- 2 teaspoons chilli powder (or as taste)
- Salt as taste
- A pinch of turmeric powder
- 3 tablespoons of water
- 3-4 cloves of garlic, chopped
- Small piece of ginger, chopped
- Thinly slice beef topside and boil until the meat is soft.
- Let the meat cool. Tear the meat apart in small pieces. You should be able to tear the meat once it is properly boiled.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and lightly fry garlic and ginger. When they are lightly browned, add onion and capsicum and fry until they are little soft. You don't need to make them brown.
- In a deep salad bowl mix the meat, fried onion, capsicum, ginger and garlic.
- Add sesame oil, sesame powder, salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder. Mix all the ingredients properly with your hand. Add 3 tablespoons of water in order to keep the salad moist.
- Add cherry tomatoes and toss lightly.
- This "Raging Bull" salad goes well with rice.
- Because of it's spiciness, it also goes well with a drink.
Enjoy the "Raging Bull" salad with the Official World Cup 2010 Song:
